Students with an expected December, 2009 graduation are encouraged to apply. And for the right candidate, a current student would be considered, depending on experience and qualifications. Other requirements include proficiency with Word and Excel, must be detail-oriented, and flexible enough to travel overnight occasionally. The North Dakota Department of Financial Institutions has an opening for a Financial Institutions Examiner (Bank Examiner). December, 2009 prospective grads qualify for this position.

Cargill, the largest privately held corporation in the United States, will be on campus Friday September 25th, all day, to interview prospective internship candidates for the position of Financial Accounting Management Intern. According to NACE, the National Association of Colleges and Employers, firm hiring of new grads will be down 7 percent this school year. The most recent survey indicates "Nearly 40 percent of respondents said they expect to decrease their college hiring this year, while 43.4 percent report plans to hold hiring steady at Class of 2009 levels. Just under 17 percent say they plan to increase hires." Internship and job seekers should should consider these statistics and plan accordingly.
